It's been a while (again) but I am back (again!). I've not been able to blog very much for the last few weeks for a couple of reasons. I have been having terrible headaches and have found myself pretty firmly planted on the couch most hours of the day. This last week has been extremely difficult as no medication has been working and I have just been in a lot of pain. Last Thursday I started having pain in my face as well and I spent all day on the couch Friday and Saturday with an ice pack, spontaneously bursting into tears and feeling rather sorry for myself.
It's been a fun week.
That last paragraph, combined with the fact that I knew that if I got on to blog I would just complain about the pain, was the reason I stayed away from blogging!
Today I am praising the Lord that I am up and about, feeling much better, and able to actually do things! It has surprised me that I am thankful to be able to clean again...!
In a strange way I believe the jaw pain is an answer to prayer. I am thinking now that something is going on in my jaw which is causing the headaches - which is very helpful to know! I have been wearing my bite plate and icing my jaw and it seems to be helping my headaches. So thankful about that!
The Lord has been very close in these difficult times and I am gaining a greater sympathy for those who struggle with chronic pain. It is hard to go on day after day not feeling well. I have not understood that before and I hope that I do not soon forget that lesson.
I am looking forward to hopefully being a bit more upbeat this week :) And for now I am off to run about a million errands that I have put off for the last few weeks.

The Proposal, Part 2
So...guess who gets to go to South Korea????
Yep, it's me!
My dear husband told me last night that he too very much wants to travel to pick up our child! I am so glad we are on the same page and in it together for this adventure!
And I'm absolutely scared to death!!!!!
But isn't that the fun of life?
God is good!

The Facts of Life in the Middle of the Night?
Anyway, so I'm up again, and I am watching old episodes of the show "The Facts of Life" on the website www.hulu.com which I just heard about this week...and I'm pretty excited about it!
Which old shows do you miss?

Pray it Doesn't Rain!
This week Brad and I started planning for an exciting event we are looking forward to in May. As you may or may not know, there are quite a lot of fees that go along with adoption. To help with this, we are planning to have an adoption fundraiser!
On May 2nd, we will be having a garage sale and bake sale in the parking lot at our church. We already have some donations rolling in of used items our friends and family wanted to get rid of, and people have been signing up to bake items for the sale. Brad and I have truly been blessed and humbled by people's response to this and their willingness to help. It was wonderful to be asked about the adoption today at church by so many excited people :)
If you know us in real life, we hope you will stop by the church on May 2nd for some baked goodies or who knows what else (garage sales are always interesting that way!). If you don't live nearby, please pray that it doesn't rain...or snow....that day!!!

I'm Back!
We are finally back online! We don't know what happened, but our internet was not working for almost a week. After a short power outage yesterday, we are now miraculously back online. Don't you love technology?
I've been keeping pretty busy lately, and one of my favorite recent memories was introducing Daisie to a new friend. They are both friendly dogs and seemed to get on okay. It was funny to see how little Daisie looked next to Coby. I think they are going to be good buddies :)
